Additionally, Haley is the president of her school’s Rotary Interact Club and enjoys organizing service projects in and out of school. This is Haley’s first year being a part of the Billy Bear Hug Youth Advisory Board. She admires BBH’s saying “giving the cure of comfort.” Haley joined in hopes of seeing the significant impact these small bears have on children. So far, her favorite experience, in her time on the YAB, was seeing the radiant smiles on young faces at the Children’s Healing Center when they were handed a bear. Through school, Claira is president of the National Honor Society and an editor of the yearbook, as well as a member of the student council and tennis team.
